You may even get a chance to hold some of these beautiful animals, if they are up to it, of course. As you stroll through the grounds you’ll see the Clawed Otters, Black Mambas, Blue Headed Macaws, Fennec Foxes, Grey Wolves, Jaguars, Spotted Hyenas, and snakes galore, all unique in their own ways. While you're at it, catch a perfect view of the bison and longhorn as you take a break under the shaded deck. Stop by Two Rivers Mining, Co., the Zoo’s very own gemstone mine for an incredible opportunity to pan for gemstones, fossils, crystals, and shark teeth!

Explore the vibrant, active urban Hemisfair Park, where residences, local businesses, and three public parks are in the heart of downtown San Antonio. Cool off at the Union Pacific Railroad Splash Pad, jump around the Sand Play Area, challenge your skills at the Giant Chess and Checkers board, and play on the Spinning Bowl Seat, Selfie Swings, Foosball Tables, and Ping Pong Tables.

San Antonio Art League & Museum | SAAL&M focuses on Texas artists and houses over 600 works, which include paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, ceramics, and sculptures. Revolving contemporary exhibits highlight local and regional artists such as the notable Robert and Julian Onderdonk, José Arpa, Emma Richardson Cherry, E. G. Eisenlohr, Martha Mood, Charles Umlauf, and Amy Freeman Lee, all representing the league's unique, diverse, and respected collection.
