Discover San Antonio's only professional baseball team, named quite appropriately, the San Antonio Missions, a Triple-A affiliate of the Pacific Coast League and 13-time Texas League Champions. Named for internationally known and revered site of The Alamo, The Missions play their home games at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium opened in 1994 with a total capacity of over 9,000.

On June 21, 2017, team owner David G. Elmore announced the relocation of the Missions Double-A franchise to Amarillo, Texas in 2019, where a new $45 million downtown ballpark will be constructed. The Double-A franchise will continue to compete in the Meanwhile, the Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox will relocate to San Antonio in 2019.

They're Grrreat! Trinity Tigers, that is, the sports teams of Trinity University in San Antonio. They participate in NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and are commonly recognized through the on-field presence and college antics of Lee Roy, the school mascot uniformed as a Bengal Tiger.

Trinity has consistently produced steady strong teams as evidenced by remarkable finishes in the Learfield Director's Cup recognizing the strength of athletic programs by division.

The Cardinals compete in NCAA Division and are members of the Southland Conference. Make way for the UTSA Roadrunners, the collegiate athletic program that represents The University of Texas at San Antonio and who compete in the NCAA Division I Conference USA in 17 different varsity sports. They are the only college in San Antonio that competes in Division I FBS and is a participating member of the Western Athletic Conference.
