The West starts here at The Briscoe Western Art Museum, where you can experience art and artifacts that tell stories that shaped the American West to life. Through preservation of art, history, and culture, Briscoe Western Art Museum educates the public with engaging exhibitions, educational programs, and public events reflective of the region’s rich traditions and shared heritage.
Take a stroll through the Japanese Tea Garden, which features a scenic enclosure with stone bridges, a pagoda, and the Jingu House Cafe. The restored garden has a lush year-round garden with many floral displays and shaded walkways leading you to a 60-foot waterfall with ponds filled with Koi fish. This historical jewel is ideal for small weddings, memorial services, and large corporate gatherings.
The Rollercade is go-to destination for both amateur and experienced roller-skaters alike. They provide generations of families with roller-skating, thumping music, and plenty of bruised knees. San Antonio’s premiere roller skating facility is frozen in time in a heavy 70s roller disco theme, complete with neon lights and trippy magic-carpet Day-Glo swirls. Besides offering public skating, the Rollercade also provides private lessons and parties for young and old alike.
