Appreciate the journey of designing and creating your piece of glass art alongside the resident artist at Caliente Hot Glass. As you join in on the hands-on experience, you can choose from an array of art glass from a gamut of colors, styles, techniques, and forms, all unique and crafted with purpose and vision.

Drive out to Son's Island, a gorgeous, tropical-inspired, three-and-a-half acre island with open-air lakeside Hawaiian cabanas, where you can kayak, paddleboard, swim and wade, fish, barbecue, water slide, and play beach volleyball. Your breathtaking entry includes a drive across a wooden bridge surrounding you with large cypress and pecan trees outlining the perimeter of 4,000 feet of lakefront property. Son’s Island also offers glamping, where you can spend a night under the stars in a luxurious tent furnished with two queen-sized beds, fans, and lanterns.

Take a step back into the mid-1800s with the San Antonio Fire Museum, where visitors can check out the antique fire trucks, fire-fighting equipment, historical artifacts, beautifully archived documents, and photos. On the kid tours, your kiddos can dress up in authentic replicas of firefighters' turnout gear and climb up on a 1953 International fire truck. They can also take a seat in the small theater and watch short videos on the history of firefighters and how they train today.
