Things To Do in San Antonio, TX

The Veranda
This original "castle on the hill," The Veranda, is one of the most unique event spaces San Antonio has to offer. It is surrounded by lavish levels of lush green backdrops with seven different venues to create amazing memories. Whether it's for the dream wedding, graduation, retirement or special landmark celebration, you will find a stunning atmosphere encompassing the 1931 estate house built of local stone, the artist cottage, the airy covered pavilion, and the rolling, oak-lined lawns. Make your event the one everyone will talk about for years.

The Amp Room
Rouse your senses and check out San Antonio's newest live music club dedicated to all things Rock n' Roll at The Amp Room near the south end of Brackenridge Park. You will witness first-hand their special nod to the vintage guitar amplifiers that helped make and continue to make the music you love accompanied with those familiar and choice drinks that helped make memories. The Amp Room revs up live bands, sexy vibe and decor, great patio and friendly service in the heart of St. Mary's Strip. It is certainly a great place to hang out especially on a Wednesday and Thursday night when they are playing 80s and 90s, new wave, rock and dark hits. Their bartenders are both accommodating and personable and will help make the evening perfect.

Fiesta San Antonio
Every April San Antonio has a city-wide party called Fiesta. This "party with a purpose" brings together San Antonians, as well as plenty of guests from out-of-town, to honor the rich, cultural heritage that makes this city great. From parades to concerts to food to medals to beauty pageants, Fiesta San Antonio is one party you want to be at! Check the schedule for events, dates, locations, and where to get your party swag.

San Antonio Fire Museum
A “must-see-to-experience” for all ages, the San Antonio Fire Museum gives you a glimpse of what it was like being a mid-1800s firefighter in a fire station. Browse antique fire apparatus, historical artifacts, and archived documents and photos. Kids can dress up in authentic replicas of firefighters’ turnout gear and climb on a 1953 International fire truck located in the kid’s area. They can sit in the small theater and watch short videos of the history of Fire Service and how Firefighters train today.
