Some of the best views in Spokane can be seen from behind a pair of handlebars. To see them for yourself, strap on your helmet and let your feet hit the pedals on Row Adventure Center's popular bike tour. These are the only guided tours offered on the Hiawatha Trail and are definitely a great way to explore the area while getting some exercise. The guides are not only expert bikers, but they are quite well-versed in the area's history, and are informative and entertaining sources of information as you travel the trail.

When you venture out to the Dishman Hills Natural Area, not only are you destined to see one of Spokane's most beautiful natural scenes, you will be visiting one of its most historic. Named after A.T. Dishman who extracted tons of granite from the site to help rebuild Spokane after the Great Fire of 1889, the area offers several desirable activities for nature lovers. There is a two and a half-mile hike that traverses Eastwood Pond which is available seasonally from March to November. In addition, there are several excellent spots for picnics, family fun and running around. Or, if you prefer, you can just sit and take in the amazing outdoor beauty.

You'll laugh, you'll dance, and you'll have a hard time forgetting the frenzied, side-splitting performance of the improv theater troupe that hits the stage regularly at the Blue Door. This group originally began in Seattle but fortunately, for audiences in Spokane, they now make their home at the Blue Door. The venue is intimate, as it only seats 65 audience members, but before the evening is over, you'll be laughing along with 65 of your closest friends!
