Travel back in time as you listen to the 50s-style jazz music at The Jazz Estate, a Milwaukee jazz landmark and entertainment venue that has been around since 1977. Enjoy live music on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (as well as weekly drink specials on Monday). The Estate has hosted nationally famous jazz players like Harry Connick Jr., Clyde Stubblefield and Jill Henderson, as well as local jazz favorites.
Order tickets in advance or hop aboard a daily public cruise on the Milwaukee Boat Line, which offers the only excursion vessels approved to travel the Milwaukee River, Harbor and Lake Michigan. Take in the beauty of Mil Town and its waterfront aboard an expedition-style yacht, Milwaukee's largest tour vessel or a vintage double-decker.
Food lovers will want to stop by the Milwaukee Public Market. Choose from a variety of high-quality artisan and ethnic produce. Pick up some freshly prepared, ready-to-go foods, perfect for a quick and easy meal. Schedule some time to take a cooking class from local chefs or nationally known cookbook authors.
A not-for-profit organization, the Pettit National Ice Center offers public skating as well as lessons in figure skating, hockey and speed skating, as well as the only indoor run/walk track with a Zamboni Crossing sign. This center is an official US Olympic Training Site, and the only indoor sea-level oval in the US available to our country's athletes.
