Bring the whole family out for a water recreation-filled day at Cool Waters Family Aquatic Park in Greenfield Park, located just a few minutes outside of Milwaukee in West Allis. Whether you are interested in the water slides or volleyball, there is plenty of fun in the sun for everyone.
During the warm summer months, cool down at the David F. Schulz Aquatic Center in Lincoln Park. At this water attraction, you can speed down the tube and body waterslides, test your diving skills in the deep well, form a team and play water basketball, float along the Lazy River or just relax in a lounge chair beside the pool. Looking for a unique place to relax and have a good time? Oriental Landmark Lanes offers bowling, arcade games and a pool hall along side its front, side and back bars. Landmark Lanes is open from 5:00PM until 1:30AM on Monday-Thursday, and opens early at noon on Friday-Sunday.
Outdoors Milwaukee is covered with ice in the winter, but the Bradley Center features an ice-covered rink indoors. Watch the Milwaukee Admirals, a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League, take to the ice like ducks to water. Trade the hustle and bustle of the city for an escape to nature at the Oak Leaf Trail. This recreation trail features over 100 miles of paved trails, park drives and municipal streets that intersect with all the major parkways and parks in the city of Milwaukee.
Engage in hands-on learning about science, nature and sustainable living at the Urban Ecology Center. The center has two outdoor "laboratories," located in two urban parks, which feature 15 acres of woodland, a lagoon and riparian habitat on the east bank of the Milwaukee River. The parks also house a habitat-themed playground, as well as seasonal swimming, boating and skating.
