Hobbyists and families alike will enjoy the annual Trainfest, held in the West Allis suburb. America's largest operating model railroad festival and show features more than 50 superbly detailed and highly creative model train scenes spread over 200,000 square feet. Vendors sell the latest model train products and offer great deals to fair goers.

A small museum located on the campus of Marquette University, Haggerty Museum of Art has some of the finest Old Master paintings in Wisconsin. The collection numbers more than 4,500 works, including pieces by Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol. This free museum houses both permanent and traveling exhibits and attractions.

Break out your bathing suits and head to popular Bradford Beach during the warm months. Located along the Lake Michigan shoreline, this beach is just north of downtown Milwaukee. Try your hand at windsurfing or kitesurfing. If the water is too cold for you, join in a game of beach volleyball or sand rugby. This beach attraction is a little oasis in an urban landscape!
