Think all operas are tragedies? Be proven wrong at the Skylight Opera Theatre, known for its light, comedic operas. Uplifting performances are done in an all-English repertoire rather than traditional Italian. Since 1959, Skylight has produced 30 world and three American premieres, over 70 original cabaret shows and 29 touring productions.

Located in the old Eagles Club, The Rave is one of the most action-packed live music and nightlife venues bringing in hip-hop, metal and alternative bands from across the globe. The former Eagles Club featured a boxing ring with seating, a swimming pool, a high-end restaurant and a bowling alley, all of which have been redesigned and incorporated into the multi-roomed Rave.

Beer lovers will want to stop by this local microbrewery for one of their tours. At Lakefront Brewery, you'll learn about the beer-making process and sample four tap beers for free with admission. Leave your tour with a commemorative Souvenir Pint Glass. Since 1987, Lakefront has specialized in handmade brews including Riverwest Stein, Eastside Dark, Klisch Pilsner and Organic Extra Special Bitters.

Continue the long tradition of the Wisconsin State Fair by joining in on the eleven-day festivities in West Allis, right outside of the Milwaukee city limits. Since 1851, this festival has drawn in vendors and citizens from all across the state. Yearly venues include regional and national bands, carnival rides, specialty vendors, agricultural exhibits and a variety of food and drink, including the popular cream puffs.
