Music lovers must make it out to the annual Summerfest, an eleven-day mega festival filled with music, shows and food. Eleven stages fill the Henry Maier Festival Park and feature more than 700 bands, including some of the biggest names in the music world. The largest music festival in the world, drawing in over one million people annually, concludes with an enormous fireworks demonstration.
Travel back in time as you listen to the 50s-style jazz music at The Jazz Estate, a Milwaukee jazz landmark and entertainment venue that has been around since 1977. Enjoy live music on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (as well as weekly drink specials on Monday). The Estate has hosted nationally famous jazz players like Harry Connick Jr., Clyde Stubblefield and Jill Henderson, as well as local jazz favorites.
Beer lovers will want to stop by this local microbrewery for one of their tours. At Lakefront Brewery, you'll learn about the beer-making process and sample four tap beers for free with admission. Leave your tour with a commemorative Souvenir Pint Glass. Since 1987, Lakefront has specialized in handmade brews including Riverwest Stein, Eastside Dark, Klisch Pilsner and Organic Extra Special Bitters.
Looking for a unique place to relax and have a good time? Oriental Landmark Lanes offers bowling, arcade games and a pool hall along side its front, side and back bars. Landmark Lanes is open from 5:00PM until 1:30AM on Monday-Thursday, and opens early at noon on Friday-Sunday.
