Not all Milwaukee festivals occur during the summer. Party for four weekends after Labor Day at the Bavarian Inn's annual Oktoberfest, the oldest and most authentic Oktoberfest in the Midwest. Enjoy delicious food and local brews, as well as music, dancing and live performances.
Break out your bathing suits and head to popular Bradford Beach during the warm months. Located along the Lake Michigan shoreline, this beach is just north of downtown Milwaukee. Try your hand at windsurfing or kitesurfing. If the water is too cold for you, join in a game of beach volleyball or sand rugby. This beach attraction is a little oasis in an urban landscape!
The former home of Captain Frederick Pabst, the world famous beer baron and founder of the Pabst Brewing Company, the Pabst Mansion is open year-round to provide guided tours about the legacy of Pabst, the history of brewing, the craftsmanship of the house and the history of Milwaukee. Stroll through and explore the well preserved and accurately restored neo-Renaissance museum house and its grounds.
Join the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for a romantic night of magical music or a fun afternoon with the family. This orchestra is the largest cultural organization in Wisconsin, and has received national and critical acclaim for artistic excellence. The Orchestra also supports several community education and outreach programs, using their powerful music to reach out to a diverse audience.
