Discover the sights, sounds and flavors of Milwaukee's most delicious neighborhoods. Milwaukee Food Tours LLC covers the areas along Brady Street, Old World 3rd Street and in the Historic Third Ward. Sample the wonderful tastes of some of Milwaukee's favorite restaurants and specialty shops. You'll be combining your meal with your daily exercise, since this is a guided walking tour.
A not-for-profit organization, the Pettit National Ice Center offers public skating as well as lessons in figure skating, hockey and speed skating, as well as the only indoor run/walk track with a Zamboni Crossing sign. This center is an official US Olympic Training Site, and the only indoor sea-level oval in the US available to our country's athletes.
If you feel the urge to dance, hit the floor at the Mad Planet. Milwaukee's only alt-rock dance club, Mad Planet hosts a retro-themed dance night every Friday, when you can dust off your parachute pants and get down to the funky sounds of the 80s and 90s. Live music shows on Saturdays have included big-ticket national acts like Arcade Fire and Lucero.
Located near Discovery World, Veteran's Park contains several opportunities for outdoor fun, like running and biking trails, a lagoon with fishing opportunities, and a duck pond. Whether you want to go fly a kite or take a paddleboat out, there is something for everyone at this tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of its neighboring streets.
