If you feel the urge to dance, hit the floor at the Mad Planet. Milwaukee's only alt-rock dance club, Mad Planet hosts a retro-themed dance night every Friday, when you can dust off your parachute pants and get down to the funky sounds of the 80s and 90s. Live music shows on Saturdays have included big-ticket national acts like Arcade Fire and Lucero.
Watch a concert at the indoor Pabst Theater. The fourth oldest continually operating theater in the United States has hosted a number of notable, classic acts. The entertainment venue continues its century long tradition by presenting approximately one hundred music, dance, comedy, opera and theater events each year. Stop by on Friday's for Fish Fry & Flick, a chance to enjoy a free movie on an outdoor screen.
Discover the sights, sounds and flavors of Milwaukee's most delicious neighborhoods. Milwaukee Food Tours LLC covers the areas along Brady Street, Old World 3rd Street and in the Historic Third Ward. Sample the wonderful tastes of some of Milwaukee's favorite restaurants and specialty shops. You'll be combining your meal with your daily exercise, since this is a guided walking tour.
Break out your bathing suits and head to popular Bradford Beach during the warm months. Located along the Lake Michigan shoreline, this beach is just north of downtown Milwaukee. Try your hand at windsurfing or kitesurfing. If the water is too cold for you, join in a game of beach volleyball or sand rugby. This beach attraction is a little oasis in an urban landscape!
