Music lovers must make it out to the annual Summerfest, an eleven-day mega festival filled with music, shows and food. Eleven stages fill the Henry Maier Festival Park and feature more than 700 bands, including some of the biggest names in the music world. The largest music festival in the world, drawing in over one million people annually, concludes with an enormous fireworks demonstration.

Conveniently located downtown near the theater district, Marcus Center contains four major entertainment venues that host popular events. Home of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Florentine Opera, Milwaukee Ballet, First Stage Children's Theater and many other local fine arts groups, the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts is the local hot spot for live performances and entertainment.

Travel back in time as you listen to the 50s-style jazz music at The Jazz Estate, a Milwaukee jazz landmark and entertainment venue that has been around since 1977. Enjoy live music on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (as well as weekly drink specials on Monday). The Estate has hosted nationally famous jazz players like Harry Connick Jr., Clyde Stubblefield and Jill Henderson, as well as local jazz favorites.

Break out your bathing suits and head to popular Bradford Beach during the warm months. Located along the Lake Michigan shoreline, this beach is just north of downtown Milwaukee. Try your hand at windsurfing or kitesurfing. If the water is too cold for you, join in a game of beach volleyball or sand rugby. This beach attraction is a little oasis in an urban landscape!
