The Fireside Dinner Theatre
Located an hour outside of Milwaukee, The Fireside Dinner Theatre is worth the trip. Fireside is Wisconsin's only Actor's Equity dinner theater and has been showcasing plays and musicals for almost 50 years. Summerfest
Music lovers must make it out to the annual Summerfest, an eleven-day mega festival filled with music, shows and food. Eleven stages fill the Henry Maier Festival Park and feature more than 700 bands, including some of the biggest names in the music world. The largest music festival in the world, drawing in over one million people annually, concludes with an enormous fireworks demonstration.
The Grohmann Museum
The Grohmann Museum is a fairly new museum located at Milwaukee School of Engineering, whose artwork is dedicated to the evolution of human work. After you explore the three main levels, be sure to make a trip up to the roof. At the Rooftop Sculpture Garden you will see a dozen 9-foot tall, bronze sculptures depicting men toiling the fields and foundries.
