The Kettle Moraine State Forest consists of northern and southern units that frame Milwaukee. The Northern Unit is less than an hour's drive away from the city and features several biking and hiking trails (including part of the famous Ice Age Trail), campgrounds and fishing and hunting sites.
A small museum located on the campus of Marquette University, Haggerty Museum of Art has some of the finest Old Master paintings in Wisconsin. The collection numbers more than 4,500 works, including pieces by Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol. This free museum houses both permanent and traveling exhibits and attractions.
