Located inside the historic Union Pacific Railroad depot, the Cheyenne Depot Museum, also known as the Wyoming Transportation Museum, tells the interwoven stories of the city’s origins and the Transcontinental Railroad. Explore the renovated sandstone train station and its hands-on exhibits and attractions in order to get a real feel for Cheyenne’s history.
Cheyenne is filled with small community and neighborhood parks. Lions Park, however, offers more to visitors than simply a grassy area. You can find just about anything a fan of the great outdoors could desire in this city park, including a lake, a beach, boating and fishing opportunities, playgrounds, mini golf, an indoor swimming pool and even the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens.
